This ubiquitous van from the 60's Protest and Peace Movement was a favorite of those who "dropped out" and enjoyed the California beach scene. Beach parties, surfing and hanging out made being young, cool while "Squares" (parents) lamented their wayward children. Some occasional seriousness burst through as many spoke of peace and anti-commercialism.
